The brute moved through the land with his head held high. His ears straight and listening to the world around him as Amber eyes scanned the landscape carefully. In the dull dawn of the day he had to make sure he was alert. Monsters such as wolves were not something he wanted to clash with. Not that he knew for sure that the wild beasts roamed these parts. Cy was just being cautious and surely others could respect that. Not that he showed any sign of fear upon his frame as the buckskin colored stallion weaved his way around the woods. Muscles ripped under his pelt with each step he took and before long his canter turned into a trot. A slow stroll through the woods as he entered a small clearing. It really didn't seem like a true meadow to him, but it was big enough for him and possibly another his size to stand within and not touch each other or the bark of a tree. "Hm, this land doesn't seem any more amazing than the last." He mused to himself in husky tones. Then again an amazing land wasn't what he was seeking. No, he was searching for a plain land. One that had food, shelter and water. One that anyone else looking to take it would move off in hopes of finding something more worth their wild. Not that these woods didn't house a fine beauty for they did indeed. "Perhaps though I shall make my shelter these woods." He then mused again. He wasn't claiming them though. Why claim something for something he didn't have? No, Cyborg was just deciding to stay awhile within the woods and rest for a bit.

will you still love me when i'm no longer young and beautiful? The familiar taste of dawn. It settles on your tongue, stirring you from slumber, from a sickly sweet world of dreams. As your eyes flutter open, as gold and wild as newborn suns, your thoughts are fragmented and wavering, shards of colored glass with no safe way to hold - so fragile and incomplete. You relinquish them easily as the stillness of the morning swims in to focus brilliantly, the shades of green oceans swarming around you the same as you had fallen asleep to. But they are different, something is different. For moments you wait with baited breath, every svelte muscle under your pale skin taut with an instinct to flee, your eyes wild with no less than wild possibilities, hummingbird heart leaping at every strange noise.
It is not the feral call of a wildcat or the howl of a ravenous wolf that comes to you then, but something possibly more dangerous: the voice of a man. A man that could no doubt devour you with a soul as black as night, for is that not what men do? Through the quivering leafs you spot him, light as sand and tall --- tall as a mountain and just as faceless. For moments you try to swallow the cowardice that has followed you all your life, and for moments you try to give in.
You have no doubt that he would see you should you run, and just as well no knowledge of what he should do if you stayed. He advances further and like the leafs you quiver, blood turning cold, the desire to flee turned to ash within your veins. And so you remain, still against the dappled sunlight, the branches waving in the soft wind, hoping for the monster of a man to simply pass you by.
* @ladykoi i hope it's alright that i had her already in the thicket. she's supposed to be nestled against the trunk of a tree, just laying there like ocrapocrap XD
