dazi 24 years assisstant stable manager female english eastern standard time +10 australia GREETINGS Hey guys you can call me Dazi. I have been roleplaying for over fourteen years on and off, about the same amount of time I have been riding. I work on weekends at a riding school with 30+ horses including broodmares and foals. I do the groundwork alone which includes handfeeding ALL of the horses their suppliments and medications, pre and post lesson care of the horses, teaching and supervising clients as they lead/groom/tack/untack/rug/release horses, feeding out hays, cleaning paddocks, general ground maintainance etc so on weekends and mondays (my recovery day) I may not have the time or energy to reply to threads and I appolize beforehand. My health is currently bad and I'm waitingfor surgery so that might interupt me in the future but for now it means I have ample time on my hands.
Anyway I don't own a horse of my own and don't ride often as I prefer to ride with a horse that wants to bond with me instead of the generally moody school horses. I have a goat called Poe (short for Psychotic Poetry, my first ever rp character), two cats a ginger male called Ninja and a blue/apricot/white calico girl called Veridian (Ver or Verver for short), a cocker spaniel x koolie x kelpie boy called MaBuu and a lop eared rabbit called Dandy (I'm not including my partners seven other cats). Yeah we crazy cat people.
Anyway I love doing dark twisted plots where my characters get tormented. I have a VERY dark humor and I never get offened by crude topics as long as its not a personal attack against me. I appologize for any of my charaters actions as I like to fall into their 'mindset' when writing so things just seem to flow out onto the keyboard.

4 years paint horse x thoroughbred stallion 15.3hh minimal black tovero | blue+green eyes nomad PERSONALITY Still quite young and uneducated in the 'normal' way of equines due to his upbringing. Quick tempered, especially with mares and foals which he hates with a passion. May appear brash and careless though inside lies a highly insecure and scared colt. His body may nearly be mature but his mind has a way to go. Can often be overly curious in dangerous situations or easily comes off as rude as his social barrier is skewed. LITTLE BLACK BOOK none ✿

nyx 3 years shire mare 16.6hh dominant white | blue eyes nomad PERSONALITY It is near impossible to perfectly describe ones personality as a personality is as intangible as the untamed winds, forever changing as one goes through life but we can make an attempt to document ones beliefs and reactions to their life experiences so far. Let us attempt an intellectual journey.
The main aspect shaping this mare is her social anxieties. Unless you paid close attention you may not notice at all as she has learned to swallow her fears and wear a misleading expression but her mind is always racing in another's company which is why she prefers to spend her time alone. She knows others have much better things to do than speak about her but she also knows that gossip and the need to open ones mouth pointlessly is a deep trait of social creatures. If she does become comfortable with someone she may open up and express the strange thoughts that go through her head but those thoughts often scare others away, which she has learned to laugh at, the strange faces of disbelief at her comments becoming a game for her. Though many of her comments may be blunt she very rarely means to offend another, she has just come to accept that not all creatures think along the same lines, plus her limited social interactions means her abilities at reading expressions or judging social situations have been a little hampered.
She may be a little emotionally stunted from her mostly solitary life, not completely understanding the strange sensations that go through her body, often expressing that she may not feel certain emotions simply because she can't recognize them.
She doesn't take sides in situations that don't involve her directly, possibly offering advice though not allowing herself to get dragged into trivial arguments. She may seem level headed though that is only due to her trained control over her emotions (though it is not perfect and like all, emotions occasionally steal control over her actions) and her view that everybody is responsible for their own actions and emotions. Her anxieties sometimes get the better of her, causing depressive thoughts or if she looses control of herself she needs to punish herself, holding herself responsible for everything she does or feels even if she has no control over the situation.
Due to her size she does have some confidence within herself, which can keep her standing tall in tough situations even if she is full of doubt or terrified though when pushed to the limit her sentient mind breaks and gives way to a strong fight or flight instinct (which is usually fight or be unable to move as she isn't much of a bolter.) She will do her best to avoid confrontational situations unless she feels that she has been severely wronged or that another's actions are unacceptable, mainly because she fears she will loose control of herself and become that violent creature she once was.
She knows that all creatures are different but her mind seems farthest from sane when she gets caught in it. Day dreaming about ripping the flesh off another and feeling the warmth of their blood isn't normal for her kind, though either is imagining your skull getting crushed beneath giant hooves when you mentally punish yourself but we all have quirks...right? HISTORY She believes that the past is to be forgotten, except for the lessons you learn, so many of the facts have become hazy in her mind but we can piece the puzzle together.
She was born to your average feral horse herd. Beside the handful of large horses that made the herd there was really nothing that special about them. The land they lived upon wasn't luscious though it supported the lives that lived upon it. There was no steady father figure in the young fillies life as the worn pickings and constant male conflict meant the life of a lead stallion was short and brutal. Though her mother was the doting type she never protected the filly from the harshness of hungry, aggressive stallions and mares nor their brutal words. Luckily she was born early in the spring from her sizable dam which meant at least the foals of her generation and younger were scared to pick on her. She found confidence in that, becoming a bit of a bully, shoving the other foals around and taking what she wanted. Even some of the older foals and mares thought twice about her once she became a yearling and the lessons of violence and aggression she had been taught from those around her bloomed in her personality.
As she became more independent of the protection of her mother she would begin to explore the lands away from the herd, finding peace in the silence and solitude. The aggression her herd life had installed in her started to slowly slip away the less time she spent with them though she could always feel the disgusting darkness of anger and hatred within her, her mind often running away with altered memories where she imagined tearing those that hurt her limb from limb. Before she reached two she had cut all ties with her herd, wandering the lands and following the vegetation that her body needed, living from her self taught wits that her solitary play dates had instilled.
She had no urge to join a herd, to gossip with other mares whilst a stallion prowled the lands like some king of beasts. You saw many ore things when you didn't allow a home to trap you. Maybe she just didn't learn to trust another so never learned why all the others wanted that seemingly boring life but she made herself believe she was happy enough on her own, often spying on herds or single horses in a childish game or involving herself in a casual conversation but there was never another soul she could stand being around for more than a few days.
There were no great events in her life that she took note of, none that she would like to recite anyway. Small misunderstandings or tassels, a nightly intimate partner every now and then when her body ached with loneliness, an inspirational quote from a passing stranger that she would forget soon after. Not all lives are full of despair or inspirational battles or royal experiences. Some creatures are just existing, lost in a world where there are billions of other lives outshining your own. axe2 years arabian filly 15hh true black| near black green eyes nomad PERSONALITY Axe is a severely broken girl, having been through quite a bit despite her young age. She is petrified of the dark, suffering from horrific hallucinations which keeps her moving until the sun rises. She's always twitchy from sever sleep deprivation, nightmares preventing any rejuvenating rest. Her attention is spotty and emotions unregulated so interactions with others can blow up quite quickly. Her mind is often too hazed to calculate risks successfully and if she's not fleeing in mindless fear then shes punching far above her weight. Other words to describe her are: indecisive, hypocrite, spontaneous, unpredictable. HISTORY Axe was born to a small herd of carefully bred Arabians that had escaped their human captors some years before during a civil war. Her mother suffered post traumatic syndrome and was naturally flighty so by the time Axe was six months old and humans came across the herd her mother's fearful, unpredictable nature had influenced the fillies development. She ran beside her mother in frantic fright as the men chased then on their stronger, faster horses until a noose tightened around her mothers neck. The fear and stress was too much for her dam, her erratically beating heart exploding, the mare dropping dead before her fillies eyes. Axe was too petrified to move, making it easy for the humans to rope the youngster. She was too tired and confused to fight, falling into line behind a mare from her herd as they were lead back to their captors lands. The herd was locked in a dusty yard with high stone walls too tall to see over for the night. When the sun rose the humans came and chased the younger horses away, screaming and waving ropes at the terrified creatures. They were herded into seperate stalls, the fillies fears reaching breaking point when the walls closed around her. She was unable to sleep, insomnia driving her mind to play tricks on her. Whenever the humans tried to enter her prison she would run at them with teeth bared, which only earnt the weanling pain. She learnt only to associate the two leggeds with trauma, becoming so violent and unpredictable that they boarded up her stall so she wouldn't 'affect' the non-loco horses. The humans believed she was sired by the dark horse in the sky, all his offspring of dark coat and loco mind. Food scraps or wood was thrown to the filly, only receiving water when her stall leaked in the rain or the humans hosed her stall from outside to reduce the smell of the filth that accumulated. Her body and mind suffered horribly due to the neglect. Fears in her mind became materialised monsters and imagined voices. She was locked in the darkness for a year before her door was slid open to allow the light in. The filly didn't think, bursting out of the stall and thundering down the wooden chute into a small yard. The door slammed behind her as the filly ran blindly around the yard until her malnourished body ached. The humans placed a stallion in the yard with her in the hopes he would break her spirit. He was vicious, continuously driving the filly around the yard or beating her until she dropped.Eventually her mind completely snapped on a night where the clouds covered the sky, dropping the world into complete darkness. During her blind bolting around the yard the filly crashed into the wooden gate. The adrenaline kept her from feeling the minor wounds upon her body as she returned to her hooves and ran until the sun returned to the world. For three months now she has been running from the beasts that haunt her. none ✿
