There was something peaceful about being the only living creature within a miles radius. Exhilaration filled Doronit's lungs as she breathed, calmly, one breath in, one breath out. She loved the feel of the ice upon her lungs, the cold scurrying down her throat and burning the red flesh of her insides, the warmth of a breath out. Her breath fogged in front of her, pluming with every breath, dancing and cavorting around her soft pink lips and gleaming porcelain face. She could see, now, why her father had loved these lands so: for this reason, and for the lovers he had left behind. He'd spoken of them to her, and she hadn't minded so much that he hadn't loved her mother. It was known: her father did not take women as lovers. That is, he took no lovers now. Love had taken too much, he said, and was content to have his beautiful children - two under his care, and one not even he knew the location of. No, wait. Only one under his care now that she had left home.
Doronit twirled lightly upon her dainty hooves, listening to the scrape of snow and ice underneath her with pleasure. Snow fell sporadically, catching in her silver hair and decorating her with snowdrops upon her spine. It was freezing, but she had no care - for she loved being lost in the embrace of the cold, the snow and the ice. If it had been a real snowstorm she would have been lost, a ghost in all that white, barely a shadow. Now, though, she showed up clearly against the endless backdrop of snow and ice, her breath frosting and rising beautifully. She knew that when night fell she would have to seek shelter somewhere warmer, but for now she simply enjoyed the beauty of the world she danced upon.

She’s not just a girl. She’s the only evidence of God that I can find on this entire planet.

The blue wolf is always quiet, observant, calculating, with a lupine gaze that scans across the plains in front of him with mild interest. He stalks forward, long charcoal limbs stretching across the icy ground to move his dark blue musculature across the stark white expanse of Frostbreath Plains. His coloring is striking in contrast to his current surroundings, the only thing tying him to the nature of the surrounding landscape being the tendrils of smoke pouring steadily from his nostrils as he exhales rhythmically.
Lear had never had the ambition to travel this far north in his life, and the reason why had become quite apparent to him now. He would have been lying if he said that he was enjoying the burning sensation of the frigid air in his lungs. Or the way the goosebumps spread thoroughly across his navy flesh, letting the cold seep into his bones. He missed the moderate climates of his old country, the eastern lands his family had lived in by the lake where he had played with his sister Xella. Even the tropical islands his mother had come from, the ones they had vacationed on to get away from the madness in the lakeside castle his father had presided over. The winters from his childhood had never been this cold, not in any way he could remember. He could have really appreciated the warmth of his mother's islands in this moment, he could have appreciated the humidity. His blood was not nearly thick enough to cope with the cold he was experiencing now.
He gives his navy skull a rough shake, drawing himself back from the clouds that he'd let his mind drag him to. Kaleidoscope eyes trace the silhouette of a girl, pale and whimsical as she danced across the horizon. Fascination suddenly becomes the emotion at the foremost front of his mind. Absently his feet draw him closer. "You're a lovely dancer."

She saw him coming from the corner of her soft grey eyes, twirling with a bright smile upon her lips: enjoying the sight of him spinning past and back again. His skin was stunning - a deep blue, like the ocean or a sky about to storm. He looked stark and regal against the pale backdrop, and she admired the aesthetic of him with eyes used to finding pleasure in all her surroundings. She grinned as he spoke, twirled again and then faced him, her chest still burning from the cold air. "Thank you, sir. You make a fine audience" her smile spoke of companionship, a shared secret in this wild place. Their breath met in a cloud of smoke, and Doronit could not help but to watch it spiral slowly upward - lifting her eyes and then her dainty head to see the soft pastel blue sky above. She looked back, her smile comfortable and sweet, her thoughts innocent. "I'm Doronit, daughter to Ixion." She paused, adding as an afterthought: "You probably don't know him, he left these lands a few years back."
