Name: Toorop (to-ur-op) Gender: Stallion Breed: Bush Brumby + Fjord Genetics: Ee/Aa/Dd/nSty Age: 3 years old Arrived in Tathra: Spring, Year one Coat Color: Sooty Bay Dun and somatic mutation (grullo) mostly covering his belly and rapping around to his rump cover one leg. A patch of his face and neck as well. (Somatic Mutation is not passible to offspring) Height: 14.3hh Eye Color: Amber-blue flecks. Scars: Burn scar(fade through time) base of neck to side of shoulders, fur still grows very thin, nerves are damaged. Personality: Complicated is a great word for Toorop. Not entirely the most open minded of creatures, in a way he has anti-heroness about himself. Acts like he's out for himself and cares soully about himself, when it comes to it he'll do what's morally right if it means saving another. Truly acts like he hates the world, to a point he really does, its just a show to keep others at a distance. Toorop just despises opening his heart or mind to others, its just not acceptable to him. It was how he was raised. For as callus and harsh he is, he does have the desire for physical contact. Absolutely will go out of his way to be able to sleep with any random mare he can each night, weather the same or a different one. He just needs the physical touch. Nothing emotional at all. He won't take advantage of a mare, unless really agitated or frustrated with them, normally he only wants them to so he can rap his neck around as he sleeps. With that said he's a rather quiet stallion. He hates being a bachelor and despises the fact he has to sleep alone. On another note, he is very protective of foals, seeing them as innocent, he will do anything to keep them from harm. Again he'll never say much, more to putting action in use. Toorop is stubborn, stern, loyal, quiet, honest, standoffish. Scarred. Fears fire. History: Toorop was born as the son of a brumby stallion but Toorop was raised within another stallion's band, not his fathers. His mother had been stolen while pregnant with him so Toorop never knew his real father. Otherwise learning his life skills from this other stallion and mother, he actually started out to be a very talkative colt. Loving to play, cause trouble and always ask questions, he got on his mother's nerves quite often with his constant talking and questions. Many times he got yelled at to shut up, so he'd find a new ear to chat off till he got told off again. It wasn't till about one did he learn his lesson. Toorop, though not taking much of his adoptive-father's lesson that a stallion should by more reserved and think before speaking, Too was off with a few other colts chatting up a storm. He was causing so much ruckus he didn't realize a group of indians had narrowed in on the colts for capture, it wasn't till it got dark and torches were noticed that the yearling colts were surrounded. In a panic they ran and tried to escape with no luck, they were cornered as ropes were swung at them. To their relief, their band stallion came in roaring mad scaring off the humans. But in doing so a torch was dropped lighting a bush by Toorop on fire, which lit up his own mane in flames, the hot fire licked down his neck and shoulder. Sending the colt in a frenzied run trying to put out the fire, next thing he new, his adoptive-father pile-drived him in the side, making Too topple over. Rolling over in the dirt indeed put the fire out, but left the colt severely burned and hurt. After that, it seemed to change Toorop to never chat-off his mouth again. In his time of healing he stayed near his mother for comfort, this is perhaps how he gained his need of physical touch while sleeping, but she soothed him through the worse of the healing process. Ever since then only half his mane grew long, the rest only grows a few inches long, while on his neck and shoulder, his fur grew back thin and a bit patchy as well. Always a constant reminder silence is golden. As was normal by the age of two, Toorop with the rest of the band's colts were ran off, not out of anger but out of nature.
