Bullets coming off our lips
But we stick to our guns and we love like battleships
But we stick to our guns and we love like battleships
Adaza was in a brilliant mood. He had travelled south from the Ethereal Sands after meeting the wonderful Aryel, and he felt uplifted after their encounter. Such innocence must be celebrated, and he carried that purity in his heart to be spread and shared with the world. All it had taken was that one stranger to change his outlook, to shake him from his grief. The hold upon him still gripped his spine in the depths of the night, those odd moments when he lapsed, or when he was alone, but for the most part, Adaza felt good.
A smile danced on his lips, tugging up the corners with a sort of carefree joy. Maybe life here could work, maybe he could find friends, someone to love, and children to protect and teach, just like Deade had done for him. He tossed his head, multicoloured mane raining down on either sides of a muscular neck. A squeal escaped, and the young man threw his arms in the air, with another toss of his head and tail. Soft blue eyes sparkled in the sunlight which drifted between the branches of the trees, throwing smiling patterns on the forest floor.
This place almost reminded him of home, and when Adaza saw a flash of golden skin through the trees, he really thought it was home. Mother? But when the young man bounded from the foliage he saw that it wasn't his mother, but a girl. She had golden skin, but it was split by splashes of white. She was taller too, more like his height. But her frame looked shrunken slightly, as if she was deliberately making herself look smaller. No, this girl was quite different from his mother. "Hello." He called out, picking his way towards her with his head held low, and gentleness foremost in his sapphire gaze.
