| if i'm a danger to myself Just think what I could do to you Enya |
Her tiny, slender yet stocky form moves out of the tree line, heading for the glittering blue lake nestled in a lush meadow. After traveling for so long, she'd finally found a place to rest. When she steps out into the open, the sun's brutal rays dance along her white pelt dotted with black spots, making her coat sparkle in the sunlight. Her pale blue eyes scan her surroundings, checking for lurking dangers.
She'd come here to find her brother. Or to start a new life. She wasn't exactly sure yet. She was irrevocably and in all sense of the word - lost. She didn't know what to do without him. Should she just forget about him? Should she search harder? Should she go back? Sighing, Enya decided to take care of her physical needs before philosophizing over her cluelessness.
As she reached the lake, she bent her neck and sipped the cool, clear water. Upon finding it rather tasty, she drank in frenzied gulps. This was the first clear water she'd drank in days. With spring's growing warmth, she hadn't been exactly content with the clouded puddles to drink from. This place was also the perfect place to graze. So Enya ambled over to some taller grass, and pulled a tuft of lush green stuff from the rich, dark soil.
While she was relishing the sun on her back and the delectable food, she remained alert; ears swiveling around and both eyes open to detect changes in her surroundings. Just then, something did change. Enya heard a twig snap. She could smell that it was another equine. Wheeling around, she turned to face the stranger.

He's still coming just a little bit late He got stuck at the laundry mat washing his cape
The smell of water had made Adaza realise just how thirsty he was. The sensory overload of the day, the many new people he had met, had masked his need for a drink and something to eat. He hadn't travelled North yet, and a newfound hunger for exploration had driven him to do so. Boy was he glad he had, since the glimpses of the large lake stretching out before him looked enticing clean and clear.
So clumsy he was to reach the waters edge that he forgot about all potential dangers around him and his foot pressed on a twig, making a snap, and it sounded like a gunshot. Adaza remembered himself just as he burst from the foliage and looked straight into the eyes of a young girl. She was a teenager, still growing, but her spotted pelt was unlike anything the tattooed man had seen. His thirst forgotten, the eye contact he had made with her pushed him to approach and introduce himself. It wasn't in his bones to be rude.
He noticed the lush grass she had been snacking on, and a pang of hunger banged through his belly as he walked toward her. He smiled politely, asking "Do you mind if we share?" He waited patiently for her to oblige (or not) before dipping his head to the grass, and besides, the time before her answer gave him the chance to marvel at her fur. Such wonderful, striking colours made up for her small size, although Adaza didn't see her lack of height to be that much of a disadvantage. She was probably so agile that she could beat the tallest enemy easily.
@dakota || hope you don't mind my reply! Enya is so sweet :3

She observed the stallion with curious blue eyes. He was rather handsome, she couldn't help but notice; his painted bay pelt glistened in the sun and his blue eyes mirrored her own curiosity. He stood about 2 hands taller than her, so she had to tilt her head up slightly to meet his eyes.
Do you mind if we share? Enya simply stared at him, practically frozen. He had every right to be here, just as much as she did. And it's not like she owned this land. Why had he asked for permission?
The stocky little mare usually would have been quick to answer. Throw an angry fool at her and she'd give him a piece of her mind faster than a flash of lightning. Put her into battle and she'd have a foe twice her size running for the hills. But now, when she was encountering a polite stallion, she didn't know what to say.
Finally, she muttered, "I-It's fine, you can stay." She pinned her ears back, hardly recognizing her own voice. Enya knew she needed to get a grip on herself. So she put her emotional wall back up, brick by brick. "I'm Enya. Who are you?" She asked the question a little bluntly, although she didn't mean it like that. She just needed to determine as quickly as possible whether or not he was worth her time; she'd had enough heartbreak for a lifetime and she wasn't about to let anyone through her brick wall if she could help it.
Although she couldn't deny the pangs of loneliness deep in her gut, it was easier this way.

Now just shine Here's your moment to shine
She looked shocked at what came out of his mouth, and at first Adaza couldn't figure out why. But soon he wondered if the world had been cruel to this small girl, and if she struggled to trust others. If the he'd met this girl a year or so ago, his social awkwardness would have consumed him so that he wouldn't have known what to say, but with age he had shrugged off the worst of his affliction, and now he just wanted to hug the poor girl and shield her from everything evil. A small smile flitted across his lips, so quick she probably wouldn't even notice it; Adaza bet that she wouldn't appreciate a hug at all.
"I'm Enya. Who are you?"
Enya. What a divine name. To match such stunning skin, too. He let his smile hang around a little longer this time, and answered "I'm Adaza. Just a hungry wanderer with no agenda to speak of." He grinned, trying to lighten the atmosphere. He dipped his gaze to the grass, and reached down to grab a bite. It had been way too long since he'd last eaten.
"So, how'd you come to Tathra, Enya?" Her skin alone showed her exotic she was, and he was keen to know her story. She could have come from a faraway land, and he was eager to know about the wonderful things she'd seen along the way.
