back into chains.
HOme. That's what this place was. She remembered now. The thick boned, petite draft mixed equine had not been here in three years.. give or take a few seasons. The world had had plans for her to wander off for unknown purposes. distracting her from where she felt she belonged.
She had learned new things. she had met new equines. she had encountered humans and had been forced to do hard labor for these humans. SHe bore new scars from these adventures. Bother on her flesh and her heart. She had experienced extraordinary things she did not care to revisit. She had dealt with many dull and harsh times.
Finally though. Cheribee found her way back home in mustang.
velvet pink and ashy grey nostrils flared as her barreled chest expanded to it's fullest compacity. Drinking in the aromas of the world around her as her big dinner plate sized hooves sunk into the soft earth she trod on. the rich crisp scent of the pooling pond and the lush fresh green growths of the willow leaves illuminated her scent senses. It was intoxicating as the moist grass and mud squelched beneath her weight as each step was slow and methodical. Allowing her mostly hazel gaze drink in her surroundings.
CHeribee was positive she had gone to heaven. three long years and now she was back. velvet ribbons tugged up into a bottom lip quivering smile as tears brimmed the edges of her eyelids.
in a blink of an eye, the mare's wide brimmed tiara flew high up into the air. Vocal cords began to quake and shutter throughout her gullet as a shrill crying nickering whiny split the atmosphere from her parted lips. Long and meaningful, her voice carried, her flared nostrils trembling as she continued the long notes that carried out. A welcoming call to any of her kind that were near to hear. She wanted to meet and see someone that still lived her.
Letting her melody ring out a few more times before her lungs were aching for oxygen, Cheribee finally broke off her friendly welcoming song. With heavy regaining breathes, Cheribee dropped her visage to the clear rippling waters of the pond. Taking a relieving deep drink of the cool crisp liquid, dampening her now dry throat. It tasted like nectar from the heavens as she drank up her needed fill.
